The Giant Schedule Post  
I realized that I should probably put this down somewhere. I promise tomorrow I will do more interesting posts than contests, music recommendation requests, and schedules, but for today, I finished my copyedits on BALLAD and I feel that posting this schedule is a very impressive achievement all by itself.

So:

I will be at

July:
11-13. Chicago. ALA Annual Conference. I will be signing ARCs of BALLAD at the Flux book on the 11th at Booth #2658 from 1-2. I'll be at the Morris Award Dinner that night. The morning of the 12th, I'll be at the YALSA Coffee Klatch, then I'll be at the Scholastic Literary Brunch (with Avi. AVI. This is unreal). I'll be signing SHIVERs at the Scholastic brunch with AVI from 1:00-2:30 pm — Booth #1520. I'll be dressed in a little black dress for the Newbery Caldecott dinner that night. The 13th I'll be doing pre-pub stuff at Anderson's, and then the 14th, I'll be in Detroit doing more of the same. I will be spending the entirety of the 15th asleep.

August:
7th. Williamsburg, VA. THE SHIVER LAUNCH! 5-7 p.m., all invited, RSVP here.
19th. Fredericksburg, VA. Teen Book Program (I typed that 'Pogrom', which would be an entirely different sort of event) at the Central Regional Rapphannock Library. Exact time to be announced; it'll be late afternoon.

September:
4-7th. Atlanta. DragonCon and Decatur Book Festival. At the same time. A literary threesome.
24-27th. St. Paul. Or. . . Minneapolis. No, I think St. Paul. Midwest Booksellers Association Conference.

October:
9-10th. Richmond, VA. James River Writers Conference.
13th. THE BALLAD LAUNCH PARTY! WHOO!
15th-21st. UK Publicity & Scotland.

November:
5-8th. Charlotte, NC. AASL Conference.
19-22. Philadelphia. NCTE Conference.

December
5th. Charlottesville, VA. Signing, 1-3, at Barnes & Noble. Reserve copies at the store to be sure you get one.

And woof. That's it for now.

And I'm spent.

Congrats on all the fabulous events!! I've been to ALA twice and each time was like magic--so many books and book-lovers! Lots of ARC's, too, which I could easily go zombie on and devour.

Also just wanted to tell you that I saw Cass (from Blue Board) and her daughter briefly yesterday and when I showed them your SHIVER ARC, they both got so excited and then delighted when I offered to loan it out (of course I told Cass she had to return it). So how they're enjoying your poetic-thrilling book.

Have a wonderful 4th!!

Ergh. Why do all the cool authors always hang out at cold places?

Okay, I'm guessing Atlanta isn't cold. And I guess none of the other places are at the moment, either, since it IS summer. But still! The southwest! It would be a fun place to sign books, no?

Here are my thoughts:

Will try and come to Shiver launch, but who knows if that'll happen. Do you know where city-wise the Ballad launch will be yet? And though it's way off, I can make the Charlottesville signing since it's on a Saturday and just like an hour away from me.

Btw, I've been petting my copy of Shiver a LOT. Thanks for giving me a copy! It's also now officially on a TBR shelf instead of on the floor in a pile of books (specifically, the Elizabeth Scott and Claudia Gray books I brought with me to the event, lol).

The Ballad launch is in Richmond at Fountain Bookstore, I can't believe I didn't put it there! I'd love to see you in Charlotteseville.

lol, it was gonna go there eventually, just had to actually clean up some things to do it. I spent like an hour last night cleaning up and organizing all my book things. May try and do more today (like actual cleaning)- we shall see how motivated I feel.

I just realized the Ballad launch is on a Tuesday, lol. Will have to see what time you plan on having it at before I can see if I can make it or not. But Charlottesville is a definite (unless something goes horribly wrong) since it's on a weekend and presumably I would not be working then.
