Random Poll: Pretty Please?  
I'm having one of those moments where I need help with a decision but I can't provide any of the, you know, facts surrounding said decision. So I don't know if this will work or not. You guys know that I used to be an artist in my former professional life, before I made my living writing about teens who had a problem staying teens?

Well, I am working on a . . . um . . project. And I am trying to decide between two of my old styles; colored pencil & acrylic. I can't tell you what the project is. But I can ask you to tell me which of the styles you like better, which I know is the wrong part. Because I know that the answer would change if it was on a wall, a coaster, a book page, a t-shirt, or a website. But -- I have to remain cagey. Will you guys help me out anyway?

Do you like the acrylics?



Or the colored pencil?

This is tough but I think I'm going to go with acrylics. I love how vibrant they are. (also the pics remind me of Harry Potter!)

I prefer the colored pencil better. The color of the acrylics is really cool and I like the effect but I prefer the detail color pencil is providing.

Colored Pencil
I'm in the colored pencil camp. The acrylics are more punchy, but the colored pencils have a subtlety I like better.

I think the colored pencil looks more realistic, so I like it for that reason. However the acrylics seems more 'fun' so if that would fit the project better, that might work.

Sorry if that's too diplomatic.

I favor the acrylics. Both are beautiful, obviously. But I like the acrylics more.

I love both, and which one is best would really depend on what you're going for, but I'm going to vote for the acrylics, especially the more saturated ones. They're more compelling to me somehow.

I think both styles are beautiful, but I find myself more drawn to the colored pencil. That one of the cups of tea is just lovely. ^^

Coloured Pencils are better for dark stuff, but Acrylics are better for bright stuff.

I think it's for a graphic novel, based on your recent facebook posts! I vote acrylics. I think they are dreamier and present the world in a fresher way... your colored pencil skills are amazing, they're almost photograhic. Which is why for storytelling I think acrylics are better.

But I love them both and either way, I can't wait to see what this project is.

Alright, Miss Mood,
The colored pencil is more ALIVE! It bears emotions well. The acrylic sets the scene and tells the story better. What is your goal? To be less emotionally involved so that you see the story, or to feel the emotion first? If you need the story to get across, acrylic works best. If you need the emotion, pencil.
Not an answer, but maybe a solution.

Although I like a few of the acrylics, I LOVE all of the watercolor pencils.
