Maggie Has Vanished

I'm sorry I'm behind on all my blog, twitter, and facebook comments. This weekend I had one of those sudden attacks of needing to leave the house so my family and I vanished for some peace, quiet, and novel research. Evidence:

I'm afraid I'm likely to be absent again this week as I'm just packing for Nebraska school and library visits and then off to NYC for the Teen Author Festival (please come see me if you're round!)(I'll be reading from FOREVER!) and a signing at Books of Wonder.

So now I'm disappearing again. This time into a world of packing and google directions.

I always tried to take pictures while driving to and from UVA and they never turned out this nice. Congratulations!

I'll be back in New York in time for your panel, but I'll be working on my thesis. I hope the festival goes well! It certainly looks really interesting.

It was a pretty beautiful day, and we were traveling in late afternoon, so it was easy for them to be beautiful.

There's something about the February/March time that always gives me the travel bug too. Spring's so close and it's time to see some place new. Road trips with the kids can be fun, not as fun as the ones with just the hubby but still fun. Have lots of fun, take tons of pictures and stop somewhere you normally wouldn't..like the World's biggest elk horn sculpture. Those unplanned stops can turn into the most unexpected thrills of the whole trip!
