Bookplates for EVERYONE (well, everyone in the U.S.)  
I feel bad for the readers who wanted to make it to events on my Raven Boys tour but couldn't, either because of time or distance. I recently discovered that I have leftover limited edition bookplates in my office, and I reckon now's a good time to give them away to readers.

This is what they look like (they feature the colored pencil art I did for the Raven Boys animated trailer).

Here's how to snag one, if you want one. This isn't a contest, just a giveaway, and I'll keep sending them out until I run out. Unfortunately, because of my difficulties with IRCs, this has to be U.S. addresses only.

Maggie, as usual, I wish to request the music you made for this. Do you have it available for download anywhere? I went to your website and discovered in the FAQ that I could get it on the book's page--so I did. Thank you!

Also, I didn't realize the premise for Raven Boys until seeing this entry, but did you know of the story by Thomas Hardy, "The Superstitious Man's Story"? It starts with a recounting of the legend you draw on:

"You may not remember, sir, having gone off to foreign parts so young, that on Midsummer Night it is believed hereabout that the faint shapes of all the folk in the parish who are going to be at death's door within the year can be seen entering the church. Those who get over their illness come out again after a while; those that are doomed to die do not return."

--I only know because my husband found the story and we read it together, and I ended up blogging about it.

In any case, I know your story will play on the legend in entirely different ways!

Will do. =) I do not have awesome access to my lovely color printer at home, so no Malachi pictures this time since my friend randomly decided to tell me today that her wedding is next weekend which is unfortunate because that's when I was going to go home.

But, I shall do so. Maybe I can get one with the snake for you. She's nice. Her name is Apple and she loves my laptop. Well more specifically, she likes the music my laptop is capable of playing. So you know, I guess the snake is the next best thing to a rabbit.

I hope I'll catch you on your next tour!
