I can finally fess up to why this week has been a great one. My critique partner and friend and fellow writer at Merry Sisters of Fate (merry_fates ) and generally more bloody-minded clone, tessagratton , has signed with a fantastic and amazing agent -- mine. I recommended her to Laura, knowing full well that Laura is super picky and wouldn't take her on just because she was my critique partner. I had an inkling, however, that it would be a good match. Luckily, I'm delighted to say that there was love involved and now we are agent mates! 

I'm so incredibly proud of Tessa and I know this year is going to be great for her!

Plus, I saw a mock-up of my BALLAD cover from Flux and . . . it's pretty freakin' incredible. Hot, in every sense of the word. I'm very happy with it. I should have a version I can show you relatively soon. (where "relatively soon" means somewhere between sooner than the publication date but longer than it tastes to toast a bagel).

AND I have studio time booked for this time next week. I've written and arranged a theme for SHIVER and my sister and I are going in to the studio to make it happen! It's making SHIVER seem really a lot closer.
